Osteoarthritis patient getting enrolled in a clinical trial

Currently, there are multidisciplinary treatment approaches that use a combination of medication and lifestyle changes that treat osteoarthritis (OA). Unfortunately, there isn’t a ‘one-treatment-fits-all” at this day and time. If you or a loved one think or even have had a OA diagnosis confirmed, or have been suffering from continual pain, Accord Clinical Research conducts OA research studies that you might be right for.

Clinical research studies of investigational treatments to test OA and therapies are currently being developed by pharmaceutical and biotechnical companies. They’re designed specifically to test the safety and efficacy of treatments for humans. By volunteering for our fully supervised OA research study, you may receive new investigational OA treatments that may help us all understand your condition.

In many cases patients who could benefit from OA investigational treatment miss out on research studies because their doctor isn’t aware of a study in the area. In addition, there are some cases where patients feel they are going through so much they don’t need to be treated like a ‘guinea pig,’ and nothing could be further from the truth.

The type of study being performed by Accord Clinical Research directly reflects your involvement. Sometimes, participating in a research study is as simple as agreeing to let our researchers have a copy of your test results, but most are more involved and would require some tests and a visit to our clinic. Participants are compensated for time and travel, and the study related care, including physical examinations, laboratory services and study medicines are all provided.
