Diabetes Signs & Symptoms

The symptoms that patients experience can vary depending on their type of diabetes. In fact, many people with type 2 diabetes have such mild symptoms that they go unnoticed for years. Having an understanding of the more common signs of diabetes can decrease the risk of developing significant health complications like diabetic neuropathy.

Shared symptoms of diabetes include:

  • Frequent urination
  • Excessive thirst or hunger
  • Chronic levels of fatigue
  • Blurry vision
  • Slow healing cuts or bruises
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Pain or numbness in the hands
